Showing a managed service actually improved things
Ticket volume went down. So did reporting.
Volume metrics are contested because they are ambiguous. Fewer tickets is either a better estate or a team that stopped logging, and the client will pick whichever reading suits the renewal conversation.
Asking the client's own people whether the practice is followed sidesteps that. It is their answer, not yours, and it moves for reasons you can point at.
It also gives the renewal a shape. A named area that moved and a named area that did not is a plan for the next term, which is a better conversation than a dashboard of green.
